Day 61- Last day at Wolf Park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saturday April 30th, my last day at Wolf Park... Got up and did morning "meatballs" for the last time... Finished packing my stuff and cleaned my room... Visited Erich for the last time... Ate Ramen... Went down to the gift shop and hung around for a while... Mom arrived around 3:15pm... Introduced Erich to my mom(he was in the Education building)... Went out to eat at TC's, thehn went back to the Park... Visited the wolves for the last time... Did evening "meatballs" for the last time... Packed my stuff in to the car and off we went... We decided to go all the way back home tonight instead of spending the night in Lafayette... I drove all the way home and now here I am back in my bed, in my room, in my house... I learned a lot during my stay at Wolf Park and I will take that with me wherever I go from now on... Of course I will miss all the wolves and stuff, Tbut I know I can go back for visits... I'm looking forward to being able to rest up before going back to school on Monday... This is goodbye to Wolf Park and hello home sweet home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 57, 58, 59, and 60

Tuesday, I got up and did morning "Meatballs" Hung out for a while, while Dana and Alastair were shopping because we didn't have any task to do. Set up the flytraps after lunch. The flytrap were a glass thing that you put water and a piece of raw meat in, then you close the lid and when flies fly in there they drown. After that it was the end of the day, Rachel did evening "meatballs" So I didn't have to do that... After dinner and South Park, I went to bed...

Wednesday started off a little slow. We were supposed to have an educational interlude, but no one ever showed  up to do it. So I took the free time to watch the new Glee, which was Awesome, although some Conservatives were bashing it because they said bashing Christianity or something(Don't really see how, but I guess it was because it implied that you were born gay, instead of choosing as many people believe(not me of course)). After that I  filled the 250 with Paper, Cardboard, Plastic, and Glass recycling for a trip to the Recycling center (There's was still a lot of recycling of that sort). Went on one trip to the recycling center filled the truck up again for the next day. After that dinner from Happy China, and watched South, then went to bed.

Thursday- Got up and did morning "meatballs" I got to start Chetan's "meatball" because he came up to me during "meatballs". He found the Tramidol, but took the System Savers, so  half the battle was won. Thus started our weed whacking/mowing adventure... The first weed whacker I had didn't work, so had to get another one... I had problems with the strings the rest if the time(Also the grass was very wet still)... A storm front was coming in, so I stopped messing with the weed whacker for lunch. After lunch it started to rain so we went on the a couple of trips to the recycling center and filled up the truck for the last trip for the next day. Evening "meatballs" went well and Chetan took all his meds...

Friday- Took the last load of Paper, Cardboard, Plastic, and Glass recycling the recycling center(next the aluminum and steel)... After lunch was another day of weed whacking which went a lot better because the weed whacker acutally worked well and the grass was a lot dryer... Went in with the main pack for my last wolf visit... Ate dinner and we were going to go out for icecream. The roads were flooded really bad and it took us 2 hours to get the icecream(we were going to the Sliver dipper, but when we finally got there the ATM machine wouldn't work so we got icecream from McDonald's )... It was 9 when we finally got home... I watched The Boondock Saints and went to bed.

Day 54, 54, and 56

Saturday I slept in until 10:00, watched South Park, then went to lunch... Worked in the gift shop for most of the day... Howl night went well... The flim Bag it was payed after Howl Night.... After that we went to LBC's for a late, late dinner, then came home and went to bed

Sunday, was "meatball" day for me. After morning "meatballs", hung around and watched TV on my computer, I forgot my purse in Dana's car so Josh nicely bought be lunch at Subway... Dana brought me my purse and then Josh and I went to Walmart... Didn't really do  much the rest of the day...

Monday I moved all the sticks that were piled up to the burn pile. After lunch we butchered and fed and then cleaned up the main pack enclosure... For dinner went to Texas Roadhouse for a good luck with surgery party for Todd... After that came home and went to bed...

Day 52 and 53

Thursday- I got up late and started off the day by cleaning IRV. We were supposed to work in the garden, but the person doing it didn't ever show... Helped a LOP(Leader of the Pack, also known as a person who sponser one or more of the animals here...) in the gift shop... Cleaned for the board meeting. Ate lunch, watched South Park, then went to clean up East Lake... The Cleaning of East Lake took from 3-5... After this the work day was over and we went to Sonic for dinner...

Friday- Woke up and did morning "meatballs"... Had an orientation for using the lawn mower and weedwacker... After this went around and looked to see how full all the trashes and recycling bins were... After this took lunch. After a while we went to butcher and feed. I did most of the work this time(YAY me)... As butchering went on it started to rain harder and harder... We were soaked by the time we were finished with feeding... The person who was supposed to do evening "meatballs" couldn't come so I had to do them(At least it wasn't raining....) After this took a shower, ate and watched more South Park... Going out at 9 for pizza and the movie The Toursit

Day 50 and 51

Tuesday: We didn't have that much to do... We had to do the daily duties which are inventory(I did this while Josh did morning "meatballs" and Trash/Recycling... Spent the day working on finding schools(I started on Indiana high schools, and watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest... Watched episodes of South Park... I the evening we went to our Erich meeting and ate some chili over there for dinner(he said that we saved he marriage because Peggy was coming home the next day and the chili had to be gone before them... After that Josh and I went to the Silver Dipper for ice cream and went back to IRV to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End... While we were watching it Dana called and said that the Purdue Tornado sirens were going off and she was coming back to the Park to get Erich(She been staying with him while Peggy was away) and come to IRV's basement(IRV is the only place in the park that has a basement)... The tornado warning(It really was like tornado weather for a while there was a warm breeze and lots of lightning, and of course very windy) didn't last long(there was a tornado watch until 3:00am...). After Erich went back to his house Dana went to check in on the wolves... Josh and I decided to finish the movie later and went to bed...

Wednesday started with morning "meatballs"... An educational interlude followed that. Watched some South Park and had to butcher and feed after that. Josh is a lot faster then me at butchering so I just assist him at butchering(such as pulling the guts out...) We finished that and entered in the feeding data in to the computer(There a brand new system and that's one of the things that was added to it). Set up the Ed building for the movie Bag-it on Saturday. Did evening "meatballs", watched South Park, then went to HuHot for ethnic night... When we got back we finished watching Pirates if the Caribbean: At World's End.

Day 47, 48, and 49

Saturday was the Easter event at Wolf Park... First I did morning "meatballs", then hid eggs for the kids. It was very cold all day, so I spent most of my time in the Giftshop with Beth Duman's dog, who she trained to(among other things such as riding a skateboard) money and put it in a basket. The dog collected about 40 dollars for the park. After that we had Howl Night where I had to give the Fox talk(never want to do it again)... After that it was LBC's for dinner and off to bed...

Sunday slept in late, didn't do much for the rest of the day... Watched South Park and Criminal Minds all day, and in the afternoon we went in the main pack for a while. After that the watching of more episodes of shows, dinner and then  bed

Monday was "meatball"time again. After that did Park stuff and went off to lunch... Watched a couple episodes of South Park and then went to Butcher and Feed... After feeding we went and priced stuff in the Giftshop anf then it was time for evening "meatball".... Episode of South Park then, Happy China for dinner and then Pirates of the Caribbean time...

Day 43, 44, 45, and 46

"Meatballs" started off my Tuesday. After that we went to color the rock wall to finish it up for the up coming ribbon cutting ceremony. The color coat didn't take that long, Ran out of color so took a break and went to Lowe's and then to Moe's for lunch. We got back and finished the coloring. Alastair and Ryan decided to check the place where all the wires to the solar panel we have out there and discovered  the hole with the pipes to be filled with water(ground water). We spent the rest of the day trying to(and failing) get the water out of it. We tried many methods, we first tried to start up the generator by it wouldn't start(We tried changing the gas in it too), another method used a bike pump that didn't end up working out...  We gave up about 7:30 and went back to IRV. Josh, Ryan and I, played with Ryan's dog Nikki and Heidi for a while, went and saw Erich and then went out to a late dinner at LBC's...

I got up on Wednesday, and then went to an educational interlude. After that we ate lunch and then went to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 'rock' wall. Alastair and Ryan had been able to get the other generator running and pumped out the water so that worked out. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, hung out for a while, ate some of the food that was left after the guests left and then went and butchered. After we finished feeding the wolves we went a visited Pat's horse Xan and then went out and ate Indian food.

Thursday was yet again "meatball" day. So after I was done with that in the morning we cleaned IRV. We then went to Subway for lunch. The $100 Giftcard is now no more!!!!!! We ate lunch and then filled more eggs with candy while we watched Galaxy Quest and a documentary about wolves. After that did evening "meatballs; and went on a trip to Walmart. Ate dinner, watched South Park and then colored eggs for the Easter event on Saturday.

Friday started off with looking for Devon(she was there Pat found her she's in a den because she has phantom pups. We then butchered a calf for the wolves and fed. After that lunch and the pricing of some things. Watched South Park...Going out to see a Twilight parody called Twilite: Eclipse of a Full Moon, apparently some of it was filmed at Wolf Park.
