Day 50 and 51

Tuesday: We didn't have that much to do... We had to do the daily duties which are inventory(I did this while Josh did morning "meatballs" and Trash/Recycling... Spent the day working on finding schools(I started on Indiana high schools, and watching Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest... Watched episodes of South Park... I the evening we went to our Erich meeting and ate some chili over there for dinner(he said that we saved he marriage because Peggy was coming home the next day and the chili had to be gone before them... After that Josh and I went to the Silver Dipper for ice cream and went back to IRV to watch Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End... While we were watching it Dana called and said that the Purdue Tornado sirens were going off and she was coming back to the Park to get Erich(She been staying with him while Peggy was away) and come to IRV's basement(IRV is the only place in the park that has a basement)... The tornado warning(It really was like tornado weather for a while there was a warm breeze and lots of lightning, and of course very windy) didn't last long(there was a tornado watch until 3:00am...). After Erich went back to his house Dana went to check in on the wolves... Josh and I decided to finish the movie later and went to bed...

Wednesday started with morning "meatballs"... An educational interlude followed that. Watched some South Park and had to butcher and feed after that. Josh is a lot faster then me at butchering so I just assist him at butchering(such as pulling the guts out...) We finished that and entered in the feeding data in to the computer(There a brand new system and that's one of the things that was added to it). Set up the Ed building for the movie Bag-it on Saturday. Did evening "meatballs", watched South Park, then went to HuHot for ethnic night... When we got back we finished watching Pirates if the Caribbean: At World's End.

Day 47, 48, and 49

Saturday was the Easter event at Wolf Park... First I did morning "meatballs", then hid eggs for the kids. It was very cold all day, so I spent most of my time in the Giftshop with Beth Duman's dog, who she trained to(among other things such as riding a skateboard) money and put it in a basket. The dog collected about 40 dollars for the park. After that we had Howl Night where I had to give the Fox talk(never want to do it again)... After that it was LBC's for dinner and off to bed...

Sunday slept in late, didn't do much for the rest of the day... Watched South Park and Criminal Minds all day, and in the afternoon we went in the main pack for a while. After that the watching of more episodes of shows, dinner and then  bed

Monday was "meatball"time again. After that did Park stuff and went off to lunch... Watched a couple episodes of South Park and then went to Butcher and Feed... After feeding we went and priced stuff in the Giftshop anf then it was time for evening "meatball".... Episode of South Park then, Happy China for dinner and then Pirates of the Caribbean time...

Day 43, 44, 45, and 46

"Meatballs" started off my Tuesday. After that we went to color the rock wall to finish it up for the up coming ribbon cutting ceremony. The color coat didn't take that long, Ran out of color so took a break and went to Lowe's and then to Moe's for lunch. We got back and finished the coloring. Alastair and Ryan decided to check the place where all the wires to the solar panel we have out there and discovered  the hole with the pipes to be filled with water(ground water). We spent the rest of the day trying to(and failing) get the water out of it. We tried many methods, we first tried to start up the generator by it wouldn't start(We tried changing the gas in it too), another method used a bike pump that didn't end up working out...  We gave up about 7:30 and went back to IRV. Josh, Ryan and I, played with Ryan's dog Nikki and Heidi for a while, went and saw Erich and then went out to a late dinner at LBC's...

I got up on Wednesday, and then went to an educational interlude. After that we ate lunch and then went to the ribbon cutting ceremony for the 'rock' wall. Alastair and Ryan had been able to get the other generator running and pumped out the water so that worked out. After the ribbon cutting ceremony, hung out for a while, ate some of the food that was left after the guests left and then went and butchered. After we finished feeding the wolves we went a visited Pat's horse Xan and then went out and ate Indian food.

Thursday was yet again "meatball" day. So after I was done with that in the morning we cleaned IRV. We then went to Subway for lunch. The $100 Giftcard is now no more!!!!!! We ate lunch and then filled more eggs with candy while we watched Galaxy Quest and a documentary about wolves. After that did evening "meatballs; and went on a trip to Walmart. Ate dinner, watched South Park and then colored eggs for the Easter event on Saturday.

Friday started off with looking for Devon(she was there Pat found her she's in a den because she has phantom pups. We then butchered a calf for the wolves and fed. After that lunch and the pricing of some things. Watched South Park...Going out to see a Twilight parody called Twilite: Eclipse of a Full Moon, apparently some of it was filmed at Wolf Park.

Day 41 and 42

Sunday- My day to do "meatballs" again... Got up late... After "meatballs" Watched some South Park episodes, then went on another Walmart adventure. Before we went to Walmart we had to tell some people Wolf Park wasn't open yet really. They seemed very pissed(They said that the website didn't say Wolf Park was still closed or something, but I'm pretty sure that it says on the web site somewhere that open season isn't until May... ) we waited for them to leave before going to Walmart(they took a long time). After the Walmart Adventure watched Dragonheart: A New Beginning, and after that it was already time to do evening "meatballs". After that watched more South Park and then went to bed.

Monday- did some gardening work then went to clean the east Lake enclosure. Cleaned those enclosures u ntil about One and then took a late lunch watching a couple episodes of South Park... After Lunch cleaned out the cooler while Josh Butchered and fed... Today I was able to get a calf out of the freezer and drag it all the way to the cooler all by myself(So proud of myself, calves are rather heavy I've also been able to drag a deer to the cooler).  It was already 3:30 by the time we finished all that and we didn't really have anything else to do...

Day 38, 39, and 40

Thursday- Woke up, got up... Worked on the 'rock' wall for most of the en day. Took a break for lunch, then we worked on the 'rock' wall again until we ran out of materials to use... The 'rock' wall was almost done, but we didn't have enough concrete to finish(We're using a mixture of cement and sand to make it). By the end of this it was almost five, so there went the day... Watched Dragon Heart that night(well I watched most of it), then went to bed.
"Meatballs" started off the day, and then we cleaned up the main enclosure... Ate lunch and then went to finish up the 'rock' wall... After that we butchered and fed... Rachel came and did "meatballs" for the evening so I didn't have to worry about that... That night we went to see Your Highness, which has been the best movie I seen since I got here(everyone agreed it's been the best movie we've seen the past month, which we have also agreed is kinda sad).

Saturday was Kiri's 18th Birthday.... There was a Pirate themed party... He got a cake and a pinata... Miska's birthday was also Saturday, so he and his pen mate Marion got cake too(So did Chetan and Erin)... After the party it was another day, where Wolf Park was open from 1- 5... Then Howl night at 7:30, followed by LBC's for dinner....

Day 35, 36, and 37

Sunday posted on my last entry now so anyone can look in to that if they wanted to...

Monday, woke up around ten, and I had a headache. Took Ibuprofen and then watched a couple of episodes of Archer. Matt went to visit the RAT Pack(Renki, Ayla, and Tristan), since it was his last day here. Josh and I butchered and fed and then it was time to say goodbye to Matt who had to drive all the way back to Michigan...Spent the rest of the day working on finding all the school in Illinois... Did evening "meatballs" and watched The Return of the King, then went to bed...

Tuesday started off working on the school thing and watching Kingdom of Heaven...  Watched a lot of episodes of South Park and worked on the school thing some more... Went to Taco Rico for dinner...

Wednesday started of with morning "meatballs". We had a educational interlude with Dana about her 10 day expedition on Isle Royal( It's a island located on lake Superior that where wolves and moose live)... The wolves of Isle will probably die out soon because there are only to known females and by now they are all very inbred(living on a island will do that to you), and many died out in the late 70's due to a Parvo outbreak... A lot of the moose will also die because of lack of food... After this we got wolf time, first we went in with Erin and Chetan(not much interaction with them) then we got to go in with the RAT pack... After lunch we had another educational interlude this time with Pat. First we watched a PowerPoint about Tornadoes, saw where all the first aid kits, the watched Twister... We also watched a documentary on the introduction of cane toads to Australia and how badly it is now(since they don't have any natural predators there they now are very overpopulated... After that Josh Butchered and fed, while I did evening "meatballs"

Day 31, 32, 33, and 34

Thursday Matt and I went along with Caity to pick up a shelf from the closing Borders. Got all the shelves from the book shelf stacked on me. Didn't ended up getting very far because they were very slippery(and heavy). Got back to Wolf Park and  then we helped out in the Butterfly garden where Kayla and Josh were working already. Broke for lunch and then it was back to work in the butterfly garden(mostly consisted of weeding). Worked on varnishing the shelves again, after that was done went back to Irv. Marco Erich and Peggy's dog stayed with us while they were in Kokomo, Indiana. Matt and Josh went out, Kayla set up some practical jokes(not very funny). Later that night(technically the next day) Josh and Matt got home. Matt found his door locked and though it wouldn't open. Got mad at Kayla and woke her up. The tension in the house had been growing Kayla had said that Matt was lazy behind his back, Kayla had also told us we didn't get the movie Suckerpunch because we didn't like it, along with those things and her other strong opinions about thinks(God, Canada being better than the U.S, etc) made Matt just finally get fed up with it. As it turned out the door was locked, but would open.

The next day was very tension filled. Kayla was pissed at Matt, but everybody else though it was kind of funny because everybody had been getting annoyed with her(myself included). My thought of it was door at three o'clock in the morning wasn't the best idea, but on the other hand she had been kind of rude to him for the past few weeks and everybody was complaining about her attitude and since it was April fools day when they got back, Matt knew Kayla would of been the only one to lock her door(although she didn't acutally do this she had done other pranks for the staff to find) and he was fed up with her, so it was hard to feel sorry for Kayla... Matt had "meatballs", so he went off to do that. At nine a pissed off Kayla told us we needed to start working on the Easter egg project. We told her we were going to wait on Matt(Josh was making pancakes), she walked of in a huff to start it without all of us. After we ate pancakes we joined Kayla(you cold feel the tension). The eggs took a while we watched the full live action Super Mario Bros movie and also watched some of  Get Smart. After a late lunch played with Ryan's dog for a while because Kayla and Josh were butchering. Dana got Kayla and asked me to help Josh with the butchering, I of course said okay I was just kind of confused why the needed Kayla specifically for a task. Josh and I finished feed and then we wet to get the recycling and trash for Erich's house and Dana called and said she need to talk to us. She told us that Kayla had been caught sticking her fingers through the fence of the wolf enclosures(this is the number one no no of Wolf Park) and was being sent home... Kayla asked us which one of had told on her(Apparently Holly told her one of us told her that Kayla had done this, she had before and Matt and Josh let Dana know, but that was the very first week we were here), she left without really saying goodbye... Went and got pizza and went to Tom's house and watched Clerks...

Got up and did my "meatball" duty in the morning. Got back to house and then Matt, Josh, and I went to help work on digging a hole for the soon to be lighting of the Wolf Park Sign. Had lunch and then it was time for the first Saturday that we would be open(Wolf Park will be open from 1:00- 5:00 for tours every Saturday), spent 3 hours on the cash registers then had a couple of hours before Howl Night. Howl Night went well though it was getting rather cold by then end... Went to LBC's after Howl Night, then went to bed...

Sunday, got up... Went to Walmart took a while for my debit card to work because of the machine... Went to Dana's that night for pizza and movies for Matt's last night at Wolf Park... Watched the last half of blade and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles....
